In this Scalding Country, Words Should Shade
A typographic mashrabiya based on a free translation of a line from the poem Love Song by Yehuda Amichai.

The mashrabiya has its origins in Islamic architecture, and one of its purposes is to separate a building's interior from the outdoors without creating a barrier that completely separates it from the street.

The work was presented at the exhibition Urban Shade in Israel at the Design Museum Holon, June 2015.
