"Urban Shade in Israel" at the Design Museum Holon
The exhibition Urban Shade in Israel creates by means of insightful experience an opportunity to rethink shade, or rather the lack of shade within urban environments in Israel.
The installation design is a collaboration with the designer Sharon Shechter. The exhibition title is a collaboration with Chen Giladi and Adi Eshel from OpacoArt. Together with Fablabil: Digital Fabrication Laboratory, they have developed an algorithm which dismantles graphic elements into 3-d units. The shade of these units, in an exact placement and lighting, rebuilds the graphic elements as a spectacle of shades. Curator: Galit Gaon
